The Rainy Day Surprise
Lena sat by the window, watching raindrops race down the glass. The sky was a dull gray, and the rhythmic patter of rain filled the quiet room. She sighed, wrapping herself tighter in her blanket. It was supposed to be a fun day at the park with her best friend, but the rain had ruined everything.
Just as she was about to slump onto the couch, her phone buzzed. A message from Mia: “Meet me outside. Trust me.”
Curious, Lena slipped on her raincoat and stepped outside. The air smelled fresh, and puddles shimmered under the streetlights. Suddenly, Mia appeared, holding two cups of hot chocolate and a giant, colorful umbrella.
“Rain doesn’t ruin plans,” Mia grinned. “It just makes new ones!”
Lena laughed as Mia splashed into a puddle, drenching them both. Soon, they were dancing in the rain, their laughter echoing through the empty street.
Maybe rainy days weren’t so bad after all.
